Anti-Plague Tonic Recipe combines a synergistic blend of common, complimentary fresh, raw foods that are easy to grow or readily available from a grocery store or farmers market.
This tonic boosts and supports the immune system, gives you energy and helps to relieve pain.
It is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and phyto-nutrients.
An electric blender, food processor or Vitamix
Sharp knife and cutting board
1 half gallon glass canning type jar with lid or 2 quart canning jars
Several swing-top bottles in which to decant the finished tonic
Note: A mounded handful equals approximately 1/2 cup
2 mounded handful of Onion, cut into large pieces
2 mounded handful of Fresh Ginger Root, cut into large pieces
2 mounded handful of Fresh Horseradish, cut into large pieces
2 mounded handful of Fresh Garlic cloves, crushed and peeled
2 mounded handful of Dried Whole Cayenne Peppers, crumbled
1/2 gallon of Braggs Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar
Wash and dry the canning jar/s
Place all the first 5 ingredients into blender, food processor or Vitamix and pulse to mince or puree.
Place this pulp into the jar/s
Fill the jar/s with the Apple Cider Vinegar to within 2 inches of the top of the jar.
Place a piece of waxed paper over the opening of the jar (we don’t want the contents to come in contact with metal)
Screw on the cap/s and place in a dark, cool place for 3 weeks.
Once or Twice a day – EVERY DAY, pick up the jar and shake it well for about 2 minutes.
At the conclusion of 3 weeks, you can strain the pulp from the liquid.
***SPECIAL NOTE: We had a half gallon jar infusing for two years. After straining out the pulp we have been using it ~ it is mighty strong stuff but it works GREAT!
Decant into glass swing top bottles, if desired. This does make it easier to dispense when needed – and it looks nice too. Your tonic should have an orange-red tint to it.
Use the pulp in cooking, feed it to your backyard chickens (they will love you for it) or place it in your compost pile.
At the onset of feeling sick or you feel like you may be coming down with something (common cold, sinus condition, flu, other type of infection, etc.) take 1 shot (equals 2 Tablespoons or 1 ounce) of Anti-Plague Tonic Recipe 2 or 3 times per day until well.
You can also use this as a general wellness tonic to boost your immune system – 1 shot per day.
If you feel that 1 shot is too HOT to your taste, you can build up to the recommended amount by beginning with 1 teaspoon full and adding more to it each time you take it.
Store Anti-Plague Tonic Recipe in tightly covered, glass decanters or glass canning jars out of direct sun light and away from heat sources. Nothing will grow in this mixture and the shelf life is at least 1 year, maybe more.

We had a hard time finding dried cayenne peppers locally. We ordered several packages of whole dried cayenne peppers from the Jimenez Family of: Darn Hot Peppers of Rancho Bella Vista, Cobden, IL 62920
