One of the best choices of essential oils to use for cold and flu season is Spice Traders essential oil blend. Here is where is powerful blend originated.
A band of spice merchants and perfumers living in Europe during the 16th century combined essential oils from plants and spices and applied it to them while they looted the bodies of the dead and dying. Miraculously, they did not die or even get sick – though they were robbing those who were infected or had died of the highly contagious bubonic plague that struck Europe. When finally apprehended, the King demanded to know what they were using to stay healthy. It is those same oils that make up this powerful synergistic blend.
Inhaling 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oil blend BREATHE EZ or SPICE TRADERS from your cupped hands can help stop a cough. Here’s how to do it:
Place a drop or two of SPICE TRADERS or BREATHE EZ into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Quickly cover your nose and mouth with your hands and inhale 10 deep breaths, breathing in through your nose as much as possible and exhaling through your mouth. Do this several times a day. You may want to alternate between these two essential oil blends as both are known to fight bacteria, viruses, and microbes.
Mix 1 drop of SPICE TRADERS with 1/2 Tsp. of honey, maple syrup, or stevia liquid and hold in your mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing – up to 4 times a day.
Apply 1 drop of FRANKINCENSE oil to the back of the throat or mix with 1 oz. (shot glass) and gargle then swallow. These two SHeMeN (essential oil in Hebrew) seem to be particularly helpful when other oils don’t seem to be working as usual, particularly when there is a “choking” cough.
Drink Peppermint Tea
Drink a cup of Remnant Remedy’s PEPPERMINT oil Tea. Just follow the instructions for LEMON Tea previously mentioned. Be sure not to let the vapors get into your eyes. However, you can get additional benefit from the PEPPERMINT tea by closing your eyes or covering them while inhaling the PEPPERMINT vapors for a few moments before drinking the tea and waiting for it to cool down. PEPPERMINT oil is also good to add to other herbal teas that may be bitter or not as palatable helping them to taste better and make it more enjoyable to drink. Don’t forget that PEPPERMINT also aids digestion and can be rubbed on the tummy for tummy aches.
