ACold and Flu Seasonre you looking for natural remedies to fight and relieve the symptoms of head and chest congestion associated with the common cold?

Do you have a painful sore throat? Look no further, we have some answers.

Head Congestion

For head congestion it is helpful to inhale Breathe EZ or Spice Traders 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils, as suggested below.

Place a drop or two of  SPICE TRADERS or BREATHE EZ into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Quickly cover your nose and mouth with your hands and inhale 10 deep breaths, breathing in through your nose as much as possible and exhaling through your mouth.  Do this several times a day.  You may want to alternate between these two essential oil blends as both are known to fight bacteria, viruses, and microbes.

Put 1 – 2 drops of SPICE TRADERS or BREATHE EZ onto a personal diffuser (pendant style is available from Remnant Remedy.net) and place it under your nose and breathe deeply several times a day.

It can be beneficial to do a saline sinus wash using a Netti pot or squeeze bottle. Posey uses the Premier Value Squeeze Bottle Sinus Wash with an anti-backwash valve. Super easy, sanitary, and it gives me quick relief.

Chest Congestion

Massaging therapeutic grade essential oils into the back and chest can help relieve the congestion and breathing these natural essential oils helps to rid the room of harmful viruses, bacteria and germs. The popular vapor rub is made from petroleum jelly which is a chemical by-product from the processing of petroleum oil. The menthol used in this commercial preparation contains synthetic menthol and does not help to combat germs and virus.

Mix 1/2 Tsp. carrier oil (like olive, sweet almond or grapeseed) with 1 – 2 drops of BREATHE EZ and massage into chest and back and/or neck and outer ear area as needed.

Sore Throat

Drink LEMON Tea throughout the day. Simply mix 1 cup of hot water, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1-2 drops of LEMON essential oil together and drink immediately.

Apply 1 drop NEAT (undiluted) of SPICE TRADERS to back of throat.

Make your own Throat Spray!

Use a 2 – 4 oz. spray bottle (glass is best) and add SPICE TRADERS essential oil blend using 10 – 20 drops for a 2 ounce bottle or 30 – 40 drops for a 4 ounce bottle. Then fill the bottle with purified water and screw on the spray top. Shake well before each use. This spray can be used to spray the throat several times a day.

You can also use the Spice Traders Spray to sanitize your toothbrush and even use a spritz of it on top of your tooth past before brushing your teeth.
